DIGITAL ART: "Chess Dream", ef grace, 2003. Sometimes a grasp on reality is just the thing that bogs us practical artisans down. Interestingly enough, some of the great entrepreneurs I have seen have no concept of the thing. Either that, or they have decided to write their own reality, in which they are the ruler of Fantasyland, with their own set of laws that defy nature, and wild dreams come true...
But then guess what? They do! Are you taking notes? I am.

I have several framed pieces posted for sale in the efgrace.com shop, but...I'm also getting some new ideas ...and opportunities... (more on this later) Just goes to show that even when standing in the shadows, sometimes she glows... "Sometimes She Glows (Firefly)"
They're making me feel pretty darn special on my birthday! I feel like I can take on the world now!...
(...after a little celebration, that is...) Collaborative piece with my very dear friend Don Cooper.
He is an amazing portrait photographer (among his other artistic talents), with amazing vision. Time for a little spring in your step and a little color in your site!
For nostalgia's sake, I have to give some props to an old favorite resource from when I made my very first websites! To find every color under the rainbow, inside a bag of jelly beans, or splashed across your Easter eggs, take a moment to dig around Visibone.com . Hope you too discover some yummy coding goodies! (Then hurry back here!)
I wrote this about a dear friend with an Unheard voice years ago. Today is his birthday, so it is fitting that I share it now. Though he doesn't know where his gifts will lead, I still admire his spirit, his tenacity, and his vision.

![]() Ten years ago, I ran across an animation program that I couldn't wait to try. I had barely enough space on my hard drive and almost zero RAM, but I was eager to gobble up any art skill I could. I was so proud when I first made Gabby here, but like so much of my art from that time, she got shuffled away into yesterday's data files. See, I thought it silly to indulge in these artistic pursuits. I wondered what the point was. I didn't have the time, and couldn't imagine who would even care about what I created. Fast forward to the Eve of 2016, as I look over past accomplishments and plan fresh new goals to further grow my brand. Imagine the pride I feel that I stopped ignoring the incessant call to create, that I've cobbled every stolen minute and hour into building a strong foundation. I am honored to have created for many, and look forward to sharing with many more. It's the wee hours again, but I am happy to see an old, familiar face. Gabby has popped up to remind me to respect my passions, my talents, my art...for a year from now...or maybe ten, I will be glad that I kept pushing on today. ...blue skies ahead! ~e |
No longer Unheard
It's hard to be heard in this world, and even harder when duties, economics, and self-doubt further drown out our sounds. I created the Unheard voices in the hope that none of our gifts are laid to waste, that through community and support of each other, we will find outlets, and make our voices heard. In time, I changed the name from the Unheard voices to the Visual Voice, for I no longer wish to be unheard... :) Archives
