Magic in Every Moment!
The Oxford Dictionary defines mindfulness as: "a mental state achieved by focusing one's awareness on the present moment, while calmly acknowledging and accepting ones feeling, thoughts, and bodily sensations used as a therapeutic technique." Is that really necessary? Well, why not? If we acknowledge the need for physical exams, performance reviews, even spring cleaning...why don't we make it just as important to check in with our inner selves? The good news is you can start all by yourself. Right now. No special tools needed. You won't even have to wrestle with the real or imagined stigma of justifying it to someone. Just pause. Breathe. Experience what your mind and body have been trying to tell you. Maybe in that moment is a pain that you are finally ready to heal. Maybe a solution suddenly appears that needed silence to be realized. Maybe the peace you have been looking for was just inside that secret door of your mind. There is magic in every moment--it's up to you to let it be revealed. |

I know you've been there, because I have too: regretting what you could have done, berating yourself for not having met a certain goal by now, feeling overwhelmed and hopeless because life is not the way you want it...YET! The good news is that LIFE is a work in progress! You have every waking moment to make it what you want it to be. Not there yet? Keep walking. Not good enough for you? Keep working on it. Not the way you thought it would be? Celebrate what it is and work with it! Just don't stop. Because then surely you will get nowhere! Good luck on your journeys!
