ABOUT JUDGEMENT
Every time I think of perspective, I am reminded of the story of The Blind Men and the Elephant, an ancient Indian parable about people arguing over their own limited perceptions of a larger concept.
Sometimes we cling so rigidly to one viewpoint, one judgement, that we end up reinforcing the very walls that trap and divide us. Are you brave enough to think outside of the box of your own perception? |
Go ahead--try it--root yourself in your own truth, but lean --at least just a bit-- to see things from a different angle. Expand the scope of your vision. and therefore your understanding.
What if changing your perspective could change your world, or at least your today? I found this fun visual version of "The Blind Men and the Elephant" on YouTube. (credit: Alexander Thomas Design Company, John Hanks Actor VO Artist) |
